Frequently Asked Questions

Here are answers to common questions about my process and services.

Do you guarantee admission to any specific school?

No. Admissions decisions depend on factors outside anyone’s control. What I can guarantee is a thoughtful, structured process that helps your student present their strongest, clearest, and most authentic application.

Which colleges have your students been admitted to?

Students I’ve worked with have been admitted to institutions such as Harvard, Yale, MIT, UC Berkeley, Cornell, Northwestern, Duke, Johns Hopkins, Tufts, Carnegie Mellon, and other highly selective universities. My role is to help each student apply thoughtfully and strategically to the colleges that align with their strengths and goals.

Do you write essays for students?

No. I guide, ask questions, challenge thinking, and refine, but the ideas and voice always belong to the student.

Do you offer “Common App Essay Only” packages?

No. A strong Personal Statement requires conversation, context, and careful guidance.
Families seeking essay support can choose the Essay & Application Story Package or begin with a consultation.

Do you work with students last-minute?

Generally no. My process is intentional and structured rather than fast-turnaround. If timing is uncertain, you’re welcome to schedule a consultation to discuss fit.

How many students do you take per year?

I work with up to five full-cycle students and a small number of essay-focused students each admissions cycle. This low-volume model ensures individualized attention and high-quality support.

What happens in the 90-minute consultation?

We discuss my approach, clarify admissions misconceptions, understand your student’s needs, talk through pacing and expectations, and determine whether the partnership is a good fit.

What is your advising philosophy?

I take a narrative-centered, structured approach that helps students articulate their ideas with clarity and confidence. You can read my full philosophy on My Approach page.

Do you work with neurodivergent or highly anxious students?
